Problem 5 – Nonlinear circular resonator
Best solutions of Problem 5:
Nikita Semenin (1/3 of the full bonus) – a correct solution made at the first try and the only one submitted during the first week; a well written and solid solution which is somewhat different (mathematically) from the solution suggested by the hints, but is a good one nonetheless.
Zhening Li (1/3) – another well-written solution submitted during the second week when no hints have been provided.
Huiyuan Wang (1/3) – the last solution submitted during the period when no hints have been provided; perhaps less well documented than the two previous ones, but supplemented with a useful simulation.
Finally, two solutions which are not listed as the “best solutions” just because these were submitted at a later stage when substantial hints had been provided, but which are well written and can serve as a reference and learning material (earning both a bonus factor of 1.1), submitted by Oliwier Urbański and Vlad-Stefan Oros.
